The JFAChE focuses upon three aspects of chemical engineering: chemical reaction engineering, environmental chemical engineering, and materials synthesis and processing.
This journal started to be published online in August 2020. In 2022, it started to publish english research articles. Formerly, the JFAChE was known as Ekstrak (January 2006-2012, printed version).
