Author Guidelines

MATERIALS RESEARCH COMMUNICATIONS publishes original articles on all aspects of materials and metallurgical engineering. Articles are considered for publication with the condition that they have not been published or submitted for publication by other publishers.

Manuscript

Article submitted will be reviewed by reviewers with the criteria of originality, significance, quality, and accuracy. Editorial board authorized to accept, reject, or suggest the authors to improve manuscripts. Paper template can be downloaded HERE (Word 97-2003 file) or the link can be copied and pasted directly to browse the template files.

Revision

The manuscript suggested to be revised has to be returned by the author along with the suggestion of reviewer. In the revised version, the author can provide rebuttal comments or responses.

Language

Manuscripts should be written clearly in English.

Author’s Data

Author full name and author full address (complete with postcode). For the corresponding author, add the E-mail address or phone/fax number.

Abstract

Concise description (not more than 250 words) of the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions required. Keywords (not more than 5) should be provided below abstract, first keyword being the most important.

Format

The manuscript must be typed in multiple space 10 pitch by using A4 paper (210 mm x 297 mm) with all margins to be 2.5 cm. Article must be justified, and second or next paragraphs has to be dragged 0.5 cm to the right side. Greece symbol has to be original like β (beta), γ (gamma) and etc. Chemical notation has to go with standard rule, such as BaTiO3 and Mg(OH)2.

Contents

The main body of the paper should be numbered in consecutive order as (1) Introduction, (2) Body, (3) Methods of Research, (4) Results and Discussion, and (5) Conclusions.
 
Tables and Figures should be titled and numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and can be placed directly in the manuscript. Title of the table is arranged on top of the table and that Fig. subsequently follows the Fig. The maximum size of Fig. is 15 cm x 15 cm. Figure should have resolution of 600 dpi. All pages should be numbered consecutively.
 
Research articles should have pages not less than 5 and not more than 20 pages.
 
For review papers, more than 10 pages are allowed.
 
For short communication, paper should be 3 or 4 pages.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published nor under consideration in another journal.
  2. The submission file is in MS Word file format.
  3. The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs justified font format; and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate locations or sections, rather than at the end.
  4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  5. Please add corresponding URL, if an article with in press status is cited.
