Peran Organisasi Perempuan dalam Ruang Perkotaan

Abstract


Saat ini keberadaan ruang publik perkotaan di Indonesia mengalami tekanan pembangunan yang sedemikian pesat, hal ini berdampak terhadap kuantitas ruang publik yang terus mengalami penyusutan baik dari segi jumlah maupun luasan. Penciptaan ruang publik di permukiman padat penduduk seperti kampung kota dapat dilakukan melalui dukungan dan peran dari organisasi  komunitas  yang berpihak pada  keadilan dan inklusivitas ruang kota.  Penelitian ini menggunakan  metode kualitatif, dengan mencoba  mengeksplorasi peran kepemimpinan perempuan  dalam penciptaan ruang komunal  di kampung kota di Jakarta Selatan. Temuan dari penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa pemimpin perempuan menaruh perhatian besar pada isu-isu terkait kesehatan, lingkungan, dan juga akses ruang publik bagi warga kampung kota yang termarjinalkan. Selain itu dengan didukung keberadaan komunitas dan kolegialitas warga yang solid, maka kehadiran ruang publik demi peningkatan kualitas lingkungan binaan yang mereka tinggali dapat tercapai.
