Author Guidelines
Jurnal Desain Interior publishes scientific articles with the topic of interior design as well as other disciplines related to interior design and design in general, which may include but not limited to, product design, visual communication design, craft design, architecture, fashion design, creative business/ creative industry. Articles are considered for publication with the condition that they have not been published or submitted for publication by other publishers.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
A manuscript should be submitted electronically, in .doc format (MS Word) along with the supplementary files, though the Journal Management System. Once the submission is completed, it will be reviewed through an initial review process by the editor for suitability and similarity index. If further review is deemed appropriate, the manuscript will be sent to the peer reviewer; otherwise, it may be rejected by the editor. Editorial board authorized to accept, reject, or suggest the authors improve manuscripts.

Language, manuscripts should be written in English or Bahasa.
Author’s Data, Author's full name (no abbreviation), and author's affiliations (unit, institution, city, and country). For the correspondence author, please add email address and the phone number.
Abstract should be written approximately between 150-250 words in a paragraph and cover the overall objectives, methods, findings and conclusion of the studies. Keywords (minimum 3) should be provided below the abstract.
Keywords, minimum 3 keywords. We recommend that the keywords are specific to the article, yet reasonably common within the subject discipline.
Formation, the manuscript must be written in Times New Roman 12pt, with single line spacing. The first line indented 0,75cm from the left. The paragraph should be left-justified with mirror margin (top margin: 3cm, bottom margin: 3cm, inside margin: 3cm, outside margin:2cm) and written in A4 sized paper (210mm x 297mm). The entire manuscript length should be between 6-20 pages including tables, graphs, and figures.
Manuscript Section, For the Original Research Manuscript, the section should be numbered in consecutive order as follows: 1. Introduction, 2. Methods, 3. Results, 4. Discussion, 5. Conclusion, 6. Acknowledgment (optional), and 7. References. For the review manuscript, the section should be numbered in consecutive order as follows: 1. Introduction, 2. Previous Research or Related Study, 3. Methods, 4. Findings, 5 Discussion, 6. Conclusion, 7. Acknowledgment (optional), and 8. References.
- Introduction, outlines the research background, motivation, purpose, and methods. It is followed by a concise literature review that justifies the research contribution. The research contribution should be clearly stated.
- Methods, describes the research methodology and necessary materials. This section does not need to include details on common knowledge or basic theory, it does provide details on how the research is conducted.
- Results, provide a concise and precise description of the experimental results, their interpretation as well as the experimental conclusions that can be drawn.
- Discussion, analyze the results in relation in relation to previous studies and working hypotheses. Discuss the broader implications, highlight limitations, and consider future research directions. This section can be combined with the Results
- Conclusion, ensure that the conclusion is related to the title, purpose, and contribution of the paper
- Acknowledgement, acknowledge any support given to the study. This may include administrative and technical support, or donations in kind (e.g., funding and materials used for experiments). All sources of funding for the study should be disclosed. Clearly indicate grants that you have received in support of your research work.
- References
Figures, graphs, and tables should have shor explanatory title (caption) and should be inserted into the main text.
References should be written in Times New Roman, 12 pt, with single line spacing. The paragraph indentation is hanging 1cm from the left. Authors are suggested to use bibliography management tools such as Mendeley. Jurnal Desain Interior is following the format of APA referencing system. Please use the following example for reference writing.
