Analisis Perspektif Kontraktor terhadap Penyebab Terjadinya Limbah Konstruksi

Abstract


Sektor konstruksi memainkan peran penting dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi melalui penyediaan infrastruktur. Namun, sektor ini juga membawa dampak negatif seperti peningkatan emisi gas rumah kaca, penipisan sumber daya, dan limbah konstruksi yang merusak lingkungan. Dari sisi kontraktor, pemborosan dapat berwujud fisik maupun non fisik, yang bersumber dari faktor eksternal dan internal. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menentukan variabel-variabel penyebab limbah sehingga memungkinkan kontraktor untuk secara aktif menguranginya. Metodologi yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini meliputi systematic literature review (tinjauan literatur sistematis), diikuti dengan meta-analisis. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor eksternal di luar kendali kontraktor yang menyebabkan limbah adalah perubahan desain setelah dimulainya konstruksi. Di sisi lain, pada faktor internal terdapat dua variabel yang berkontribusi terhadap limbah: pekerja yang tidak kompeten dan kurangnya pengawasan. Kontraktor dapat secara efektif menangani penyebab limbah yang berada dalam kendali melalui pelatihan dan pengembangan strategi pengelolaan limbah.
