Uji Kuat Lentur Sambungan Vertikal WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) Kayu Jati Pascapakai dengan Menggunakan Variasi Diameter Baut

Abstract


The use of wood in construction is limited due to the length of wood available, so the wood must undergo a joining process to produce the appropriate wood span. This research aims to determine the effect of variations in bolt diameter on the flexural strength of post-used WPC Teak vertical connections. Research on the flexural strength of WPC Teak joints is guided by SNI 7979: 2013, ASTM D198-2015, SNI 03-3959 of 1995 and RSNI T-07-2005, the dimensions of the test specimen are 1250 mm x 90 mm x 40 mm with a two-point loading method. The connection tool used is a bolt with a diameter of 6.35 mm; 7.94 mm; 9.53 mm; and 11.11 mm.  The results of the study of flexural strength at the variation of bolt diameter 6.35 mm; bolt diameter 7.94 mm;  bolt diameter 9.53 mm; and bolt diameter of 11.11 mm respectively which is 0.80 MPa; 3.48 MPa; 4.82 MPa; and 5.29 MPa. The increase in bolt diameter has an effect on the increase in flexural strength test results. The bolt diameter of 11.11 mm produces the highest flexural strength value of 5.29 MPa, because the bolt used is the largest and the optimal connection length in resisting force.
