Faktor Keengganan Pelajar Menggunakan Angkutan Umum dalam Perjalanan ke Sekolah

Abstract


Perjalanan ke sekolah cenderung menimbulkan permasalahan transportasi seperti kemacetan, umumnya pelajar akan diantar oleh orang tua ataupun naik kendaraan pribadi. Seharusnya, angkutan umum dapat menjadi alternatif perjalanan ke sekolah, namun adanya hambatan dalam pelayanan angkutan umum, khususnya Trans Jogja menyebabkan kinerja pelayanan rendah sehingga Trans Jogja tidak diminati oleh pelajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor keengganan pelajar menggunakan Angkutan Umum dalam perjalanan ke sekolah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menye­barkan kuesioner kepada 250 pelajar SMP/SMA di Kota Yogyakarta. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) digunakan dalam mencari faktor yang menjadi penyebab. Hasilnya, dari 40 variabel, hanya 30 variabel yang mampu menjelaskan faktor konstruk yang akan dibentuk. Dari hasil ekstraksi struktur faktor diperoleh 8 faktor baru dengan 63.018% varians mampu dijelaskan oleh faktor tersebut. Delapan faktor keengganan pelajar menggunakan angkutan umum dalam perjalanan ke sekolah yaitu Faktor Tarif dan Sistem Pembayaran, Informasi, Kondisi Perjalanan, Teknologi Informasi, Kenyamanan Fasilitas, Keselamatan dan Keamanan, Mobilitas serta Aksesibilitas.
