Focus and Scope
Engineering Software Requirements is a periodical scientific journal which focuses on publishing high quality scientific articles produced through high quality research and development in the field of software requirements engineering. The journal accept any manuscript that propose a new and original contribution on development of science and technology in the field of software requirements engineering.
Any articles published in the journal would have been processed through a double blind review by reviewers whom are highly qualified in the field of software engineering, especially in the field of requirements engineering, software evolution, and software maintenance.
A manuscript may cover one or more of the following knowledge area of software requirements engineering:
- Software Requirements Eliciation
- Software Requirements Analysis
- Software Requirements Specification
- Verification and Validation of Software Requirements
- Software Requirements Management
- Software Requirements Evolution
- Software Requiremens Maintenance, and
- Software Requirements Tools.

Peer Review Process
Every manuscript submitted to Engineering Software Requirements will be peer-reviewed by reputable reviewers in the corresponding field. The peer-review process may take up to 6 weeks, starting from the submission date.
The result of peer-review process is final and cannot be subjected to any inviolable. The final decision is solely the responsibility of editor of Engineering Requirements. To improve the acceptance probability of a manuscript, author(s) is required to ensure the following issues:
- the topic of submitted manuscript should be within the scope of requirements engineering.
- the manuscript contains the result of original research with a significant scientific contribution.
- the manuscript should follow the structure implied in the author guidelines and journal styles applied in Engineering Software Requirements.
- the manuscript should be plagiarism free.
Publication Frequency
This journal publishes regularly one volume each year. Each volume contains two issues, i.e. 1st issue publishes in January-June and 2nd issue publishes in July-December. Each issue contains more or less 6 articles.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
