Author Guidelines

Important Announcement:

Due to the migrating process from OJS 2 to OJS 3, starting April 4th, 2024, authors who would like to publish their work at "Journal of Geodesy and Geomatics (GEOID)", should submit their manuscript through the new submission page at :

https://journal.its.ac.id/index.php/geoid/

Any submission done using this old submission page will no longer be processed.

 

GEOID journal publishes original articles on all aspects of geodesy and geomatics. Articles are considered for publication with the condition that they have not been published or submitted for publication by other publishers.

Manuscript, proposed will be reviewed by reviewers with the criteria of originality, significance, quality, and accuracy. Editorial board authorized to accept, reject, or suggest the authors to improve manuscripts. Template can be downloaded here (Word 97-2003, Word 2005, RTF). Author can download example here.

Revision, the manuscript suggested to be revised has to be sent to the author along with the suggestion of the reviewer. However, the author can provide rebuttal comments or suggestions.

Language, manuscripts should be written in Indonesia.

Author’s Data, Author's full name (no abbreviation), and author full address (complete with postcode). For the corresponding author add the phone, fax number, and E-mail address.

Abstract, concise description (not more than 100 words) of the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions required. Keywords (not more than 10) should be provided below abstract, first keyword being the most important.

Formation, The manuscript must be typed in multiple space 10 pitch by using A4 paper (210 mm x 297 mm) with left margin 2.5 cm and right margin-top and down 1.69 cm. The article must be typed justified formation, and the first paragraph has to be dragged 0.36 cm to the right side. Greece symbol has to be original like β (beta), γ (gamma) and etc. The chemical notation has to go with the standard rules, such as BaTiO3 and Mg(OH)2.

The equality, the main body of the paper should be numbered in consecutive order as (1) Background, (2) Method of Research, (3) Result and Discussion, (4) Conclusions. All pages should be numbered consecutively no less than 8 pages and not more than 20 pages. Tables and Figures should be titled and numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and placed on separate sheets at the end of the manuscript. The title of the table is arranged on top of the table and that Fig. subsequently follows the Fig. The maximum size of Fig. is 15 cm x 20 cm. Line art should be submitted in black ink or laser printing, halftone and color should be original and glossy art.

References, A numbered list of references must be provided at the end of the paper. The list should be arranged in the order of citation in the text, not in alphabetical order. List only one reference per reference number. References are written with the style of American Psychological Association (APA). Each reference number should be enclosed by square brackets. In the text, citations of references may be given simply as “(Scarpa, 1996)”, Sample correct formats for various types of references are as follows. Please use the citation tools, such as BibTex, Zotero, Endnote, or Mendeley, to help you manage your references.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Due to the migrating process from OJS 2 to OJS 3, starting April 4th, 2024, authors who would like to publish their work at "Journal of Geodesy and Geomatics (GEOID)", should submit their manuscript through the new submission page at :

    Any submission done using this old submission page will no longer be processed.

     

  2. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  3. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  4. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  5. The text is based on the article template; and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  6. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  7. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
